Agent Exit / Separation Policies

We're very proud of our agent retention rate, but understand that we're not a fit for everyone. If you decide that another company is a better fit, we want to part ways and remain friends. We promise to behave in a respectful, positive manner and we ask that you do the same. Here are the nuts and bolts of our exit policies and best practices:

Notice
We recommend providing 1 week's notice for a smooth transition, but this is not required. A 1 week notice helps us make an exit smooth (and we promise not to hard sell you to stay).

Contracts and Listings
  • Any active contracts are paid at your normal commission schedule compensation. No punitive splits or clawbacks.
  • Any active listings will be transferred to your new broker. We ask that you provide a completed listing transfer form via electronic signature as soon as possible.

Tech and Database
  • You have the ability to export your database from our CRM at any time and we encourage you to do so.
  • Your email will remain on and you can access it for 2 weeks after your transfer date.
  • If you have pending contracts, you will retain access to RealScale until it closes so that you can manage the transaction as needed.
  • We will provide you with instructions to migrate your email and data to your new broker.

Company Leads
  • Please provide a list of any company leads you would like to continue working with and we will execute a referral agreement for these clients. The referral agreement covers any missing clients from this list.
  • Please communicate with us as these clients close so that we don't have to track you down for payment. :)
  • Any company listings will also be transferred with a referral agreement as long as that is what the client wants.
  • We retain the right to transfer any company leads, but we want what's in the clients' best interest. In general, if you've met with the client in person or have communicated/collaborated with them substantially about their purchase or sale, it's in their best interest to stay with you. Leads you haven't spoken with or who you've just set up on searches are generally transferred (there's no reason for you to leave with a big list of leads who you don't know).
